Quinn is 7 months old!

I feel like I say this every month, but how Quinn is already 7 months old is completely beyond me. I remember her birth like it was this morning but the truth is she is closer to one than birth! Absolutely crazy. As they say, time marches on, I suppose. Thankfully, Quinn at 7 months is just as cute or cuter than Quinn as a newborn! She is so so so precious and such a blessing to everyone she comes into contact with!

At 7 months old, Quinn:

*Is doing a considerably better job keeping her food in her belly instead of "sharing" it with the rest of the world after she's partially digested it. In other words, she's barfing way less ... most often only once or twice a day, which is much better than the 3-4 times per feeding of a few months ago.

*Is wearing mostly 6 month clothes, some 3-6 month still if they don't have legs or feet. She is almost ready for 9 month sleepers since she is much longer than she is wide.

*Loves being tickled, especially by her Daddy.

*Loves playing with empty/mostly empty plastic water bottles. She is actually pretty good at holding on to one with her tiny little hands.

*Loves sleeping with mom and dad and always manages to scoot right up next to me when she's sleeping. We put her down to sleep in her crib every night but most nights she ends up in our bed at some point. We never did that with Lily, but it seems to be working with Quinn. I am sure we'll have a battle to come somewhere down the road but right now we are all getting some much needed sleep and we've chosen to just fight that battle when it comes.

*Has the cutest little baby mohawk right down the center of her head.

*Hates being on her belly which is why I think she hasn't really started scooting yet. At 7 months Lily was a total scooter, but Quinn starts crying within moments of being put down for tummy time and has no interest in scooting. I put toys in front of her and she seems to want to get to them, but she gets super frustrated and just starts screaming. She'll get there in her own time.

*Still likes to be swaddled when she sleeps, also very different from Lily. She smacks herself and anything around her when she's not swaddled, which wakes her up. I am not sure when she's going to grow out of this, but we figure she'll let us know when she's done being swaddled.

* Is super smiley and content. She spends most of her time calmly observing the world around her and as long as she is being held and is fed, she is a happy camper.

*Loves being carried in the Ergo and I love carrying her in it. It is so sweet to have her tucked up against my chest as we are out and about and she almost always goes to sleep within minutes of being in there.

* Is still 100% breastfed and is eating more rice, peas, and carrots. Another difference from Lily is that she does not seem nearly as excited about solid food as Lily was. Lily couldn't get enough!

*Absolutely lights up when she sees someone she loves. Her whole body gets stiff and she starts waving her hands and kicking her legs. It is the cutest, most endearing thing ever.

We love you, Quinny Quinn! You are absolutely precious to us!
