We had a freak rain/thunder storm this morning in Southern California, so Lily and I took it as a sign that we were supposed to wake up early to go out and play in the rain. I was so spoiled to spend so much quality one and one time with Lily before Quinn was born and I'll confess, as much as I love and adore and treasure Quinn, I sometimes miss those special moments when I could give Lily my complete attention and affection. This morning's Mommy and Lily time was so special and good for both of us. Plus, who doesn't love jumping in puddles?!?
Lily in her pink raincoat that she got from our dear friend, Elaine. She LOVES this coat and asks to wear it all the time, mostly when it's not raining. She even once threw a 45 minute tantrum because we told her she couldn't wear it in the car since you aren't supposed to have kids wear coats in their car seats. The entire car ride she just screamed "rain coat!" over and over and over. Thankfully, after quite a while of restricted rain coat access following that fit, the raincoat is back.
What a special day with my special girl! A day full of memories I'll cherish for a long time to come.
